The festive season (now on its twilight) brings out the best in people; or maybe not. Everyone is in their best mood exchanging courtesy messages and all. Some of us do it in a genuine heart while others do so just to jump the bandwagon and other fulfill an obligation of some sort.

The most popular medium of communication is by sending text messages. It’s a no brainer why this is so as this is the cheapest form of communication to reach the masses and in the laziest format: message forwarding.

So I decided to offer free outside the box thinking on how to write a simple yet honest messages for the season. For instance this is the New Year and the greatest theme is making of resolutions if not vowing to keep the yester year ones. In a light mood I made sure that I told my friends to avoid something that I knew they loved. Then I concluded by wishing them an awesome year ahead.

So here is my top 5 list of sample simple texts based on the recipient:-

1.    Please don’t make creation of conspiracy theories your resolution – This one loves conspiracy theories just too much.

2.    Don’t make it your resolution to watch animation movies – Animation movies lover.

3.    Don’t make play it hard to get on me your resolution – This is quite self-explanatory.

4.    Please don’t make the originals your resolution – Alluding to the series “The originals” – Recipient is a diehard fan of the Vampire diaries.

5.    Please don’t make sleeping your resolution – I got to admit too that this was a lame kind of a tag phrase.

Hopefully this is a pointer that many people are fed up with receiving forwarded messages and it’s even worse when one receives 3 similar texts from 3 people. As we approach the next festive season this will be an opportune time to start thinking about the kind of messages to send to our dear ones, simple and from the heart. Just like a WhatsApp status message from one of my friends,”no forwarded messages, a simple one from the heart will do”.
